Rhythm in Motion, 912 Del Prado Blvd S, Cape Coral FL

center*fuse 'Hands, Arms, Lines & Turns'
When you are on stage your self-expression must be authentic. Your ability to tell a full story; from the arm lines that frame your dance, to the accents made specifically to captivate the audience, come from confidence, and this confidence flows from self awareness.

In this workshop Alina will introduce basic and sequential layered torso, shoulder and arm moves that will create and expand your dancer's awareness and give elegance, fluidity and power, to all Bellydance styles.

Additionally, Alina will add beautiful arm and hands framing concepts to impressive turns and spins to give dramatic energy to all your performances. She will be covering Calibrated Turns, Barrel Turns, Hook Turns as defined in the Bellydance genre.

Please bring notebook, pen/pencil, yoga mat, water and towel. Wear simple yoga attire and minimal jewelry. Workshop will be 3 hours. Make sure you eat a light meal 2 hours before class and also bring a light snack.

Alina’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in Middle Eastern dance and is one of constant change and adaptation. Her dance is a mix of modern and folklore which includes Ballet, Flamenco, Afro Cuban, Classical Indian and Jazz.

Having originally discovered Bellydance in Southern California the late 1970s, she left and returned to fall in love with American Tribal which then led her to delve deep into the roots of Tribal Style Bellydance through incorporation of the Salimpour technique method in 2007.

Alina is the choreographer for her own Tribal Style Bellydance troupe. "Lotus Tribal Arts" which is comprised of her students. They perform at South Florida festivals and throughout the community, delighting audiences with a blend of folklore and mystical

She has studied with Ansuya, Tamalyn Dallal, Carolena Nericcio, Amy Sigil, and Suhaila Salimpour. She remains a student of the Jamila Salimpour format as she continues to grow and morph her imagination into sound and vision, all in a quest to express her life’s passion through music and dance.
